Acid Blue 193 CAS #12392-64-2

Dark blue. It is easily soluble in water (red and blue) and ethanol. It is blue in concentrated sulfuric acid, and the precipitation is blue after dilution. The aqueous solution is blue precipitated in the presence of strong hydrochloric acid; Add sodium hydroxide and it will be red and purple. It is used for dyeing and printing of wool and silk, and also for leather dyeing.

Diazo 4-amino-3-hydroxynaphthalene-1-sulfonic acid was coupled with naphthalene-2-alcohol, and then its products (CI mordant black 17, CI 15705) were heated together with chromium formate in aqueous solution and maintained at 130 ℃ for 3 hours to form chromium complex.
