Acid Orange 67 is an orange-red powder, easily soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is orange. It is mainly used for dyeing wool, silk, nylon and their blended fabrics, and can also be directly printed on wool and silk fabrics. It has a high dyeing rate and good levelness. When used for dyeing wool and other fibers in the same bath, diacetate fiber has a slight stain, while triacetate fiber does not stain.
The production method is to use 4-p-aminoaniline-3-nitrobenzenesulfonic acid, m-cresol and p-toluenesulfonyl chloride as raw materials, first diazotize 4-p-aminoaniline-3-nitrobenzenesulfonic acid, then couple with m-cresol, and finally condense the coupling product with p-toluenesulfonyl chloride to obtain the product. The finished product is obtained by filtering, drying and crushing.

Acid Orange 67 Usage And Synthesis
Uses Acid Orange 67 (CAS# 12220-06-3) is an organic azo dye used in the pigmentation of polyester blended fabrics. Acid orange 67 is also used as an analyte in the development of azo dye removal processes.
