Pigment Blue 27 CAS# 12240-15-2

Pigment blue 27, also known as Prussian blue, Hualan, iron blue, etc., its chemical name is ferric ferrocyanide, its English name is Prussian blue or pigment blue 27, and its CAS number is 12240-15-2.
It is a dark blue inorganic pigment with the following properties and characteristics:
Appearance: dark blue powder.
Relative density: 1.8.
Solubility: insoluble in water, ethanol and ether, soluble in acid and alkali.
Color light: the color is between dark blue and bright blue, with bright color, strong tinting power, strong diffusion, but slightly poor hiding power.
Stability: It can withstand sunlight and dilute acid, but it will decompose when boiling with concentrated sulfuric acid; it has weak alkali resistance, and even dilute alkali can decompose it, so it cannot be used in water-based paint. It cannot be used together with alkaline pigments. It starts to lose crystal water when heated to 170-180℃, and it will burn and release hydrocyanic acid when heated to 200-220℃.
Pigment Blue 27 is widely used in industries such as coatings and printing inks. In addition to being used alone as a blue pigment, it can be combined with lead chrome yellow to form a commonly used green pigment (lead chrome green).
