Acid black 29 CAS #12217-14-0

Acid Black 29, also known as water-soluble aniline black and acid granular blue, is a black granular substance with a glitter. It is soluble in water, and the aqueous solution is blue-purple. Adding sodium hydroxide solution will produce brown-purple precipitation; it is also soluble in ethanol, and the solution is blue. In concentrated sulfuric acid, it is also blue, and after dilution, it turns purple and precipitates. Acid Black 29 is mainly used for dyeing wool and silk, and can also be used for leather dyeing (usually chromium mordant dyeing), as well as paper, wood products, soap, electroplated aluminum coloring and ink manufacturing.

Preparation 4-(4-Aminophenyl)benzenamine double nitriding, and 4-Amino-5-hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acid?in acid conditions coupled; 2-Aminobenzenesulfonic acid diazo, in alkaline conditions to the above the products with coupling, and then in alkaline conditions and N-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-2-methyl-aniline?coupling.
Properties and Applications black. Black powder, unfavorable discharge. Used for wool, silk dyeing and printing, also can be used for leather color.
