Pigment Yellow 191, molecular formula is C_{17} H_{13} CaClN_{4} O_{7} S_{2}. Its appearance is usually reddish yellow powder.
This pigment has the following properties and characteristics:
Excellent heat resistance: in high-density polyethylene (HDPE, 1/3 standard depth), it can withstand heat up to 300℃ without dimensional deformation; in polycarbonate, it can withstand temperature up to 330℃. Good light fastness: can reach 7-8 levels.
Excellent migration resistance: performs well in plastic PVC. Good solvent resistance.
Environmental protection: does not contain harmful heavy metals (such as hexavalent chromium, barium) and limited azo raw materials (such as TCB, DCB, OD).
Pigment Yellow 191 is mainly used for coloring plastics, and can also be used in inks, paints, coatings, plastic resins, paint printing, plastic products and other fields. In the United States, it is also widely used for coloring traffic coatings. It has bright colors, strong tinting strength and high cost performance, and is an ideal substitute for diaryl compounds, benzidine and lead chromate pigments.
